Default when changing pad on 2017 or 2018 rx350, is there anything different mechanically ?

the vehicle has automatic braking system. Does this change the brake hardware?

I don't know for sure, but I can't see any reason it would be different.

If it's an electric parking brake, which I think your talking about, then it is different than the mechanical ones. Don't crank the piston to seat it or you will damage the electric motor, you have to set the piston by using the steering wheel control buttons to set the piston electrically. Then, when the new pads are in place, you reset the piston in the same manner. Make sure you know what your doing, or it will cost you BIG BUCKS!
