Default 2019 rx350 fsport brake function question

When i’m parking my car in my garage before it hits the plastic shelf the car slams on the brakes for me.

What option is this and how do I turn it off?

I tried turning off all parking assist features and options

All I have on is the blind spot monitoring

I have the same issue pulling into the garage. I just go slow and inch up to my stop point.

That's a key safety feature you probably want to leave on. You should see the parking sensor warnings if you're inching up without the PCS slamming brakes on. Otherwise sounds like something is not functioning properly.

You can turn it off in the window between the gauges (it's called ICS Intelligent Clearance Sonar). I'd leave it on--never know when you may need it Look it up in the online manual. You can drive very slowly toward the wall to bypass it, as mentioned earlier.

As I said before, I inch forward for about 2 feet and have no problem. Perhaps there's an adjustment you can do for it.

These is a sensitivity setting somewhere I believe. Check the manual.

I don't see it among Customizable Features in the manual. Park Assist alert distance can be selected, like pre-collison warning time. You might try and see if somehow either is connected to ICS distance but I'd be surprised if they are. If the battery is disconnected ICS is one of the systems that must be initialized.

This feature is good and also bad especially when you are backing out. At the supermarket parking lot, i was backing out super slowly and there were a couples loading their stuff to their car's trunk next to mine. BRAKE!!!! and it BRAKED all the way, freak me out twice even though they were just standing behind their car.

Happens to me often in that exact setting. I've learned to back out super super slow.
