I live in CA and I think they asked $5000 as a downpayment and a waiting period of 2 months for the custom RXL. Also, they mentioned that the current offers will not work.

My dealership (Pittsburgh, PA) asked me for $2,000 downpayment. And yes, current incentives do not apply, but only whatever promotions are happening at the time of the delivery.

What kinda discounts are you folks getting on a custom order relative to MSRP?

For me, it was only about 3-4% off MSRP (i.e. the price that you get quoted from "build my lexus" website) from a Lexus Plus dealership...

How long ago was this? Which state? Was the price based off the MSRP that was quoted on Lexus.com's build tool/website?

That price sounds incredible, I would jump on that in a heart beat if it could be replicated today. Right now we can't do a custom order of the RX since 2019 build is not available yet, Lexus is being too slow with this debut.

i ordered octoberish last year. the discount was preworked.. the deal was in minnesota
the order i made was for a vehicle scheduled to be built but not claimed ?? had the colors, options, things like that we wanted. came with a power back seat we didn't need/want, but thats ok. we were able to add a trailer hitch, mud flaps, side moldings, msrp was over 65k
the details on pricing was posted in the 17 best prices thread, i don't recall the breakdown exactly, but it was 6 or 7k off plus lexus cash. (another 2k or 2500?)
my 17 was built and delivered november/december 17, not sure what that does to short term value, if i lost a year right away. paid cash so i made 1 payment. no plans to part with the vehicle.

well closed my deal yesterday, it was not the best discount, that was from a CA dealer knocking 8200 + lexus cash off a 450h
Local I bought mine at 6k off plus 2500 lexus cash. i ordered mine off the assembly line, added a few more things, so my 6k was kinda locked in. tipped my hand and they knew i was in. difference between local and CA with flights, tax, things like that were under 1k. plus the dealer out there had to find one. too many variables.

this is for a rx450h loaded with over 11k in options, about all you can add.

I'm surprised they were building '17's in November. They usually stop in the summer months. Does the date in the door read an 1117 build? If so, are you sure you don't have an '18?

First model year for the RX-L was 2018. If your window sticker says it's a 2017, you have a unicorn!

Edit: I see you don't have an "L", so I'm confused by your statement. Anyway, this is way off topic, so I'm out.
