I thought folding the mirrors would have prevented that. I don't use those brush car washes, but you need to get the under carriage sprayed in the winter when they put salt on the road touchless of course.

If I may suggest for undercarriage cleaning, I find that running a lawn sprinkler (left to right motion) all around is quite effective specially if you can't find a car wash with lifters that you can use pressure washers. I normally do 10-15 minutes per quarter (dividing the car in four sections). You can have more if you think 4 sections doesn't cover all.

alternative would be putting your key fob in "sleeping mode" so car does not see it.
- press lock button on your key 1,2,3 and hold until you see red light on your fob blinking 4 times.
Finish the wash and "wake up" your key by pressing any button on it.
