A similar TSB for the knocking sound when gas tank is full exists in Canada. Went into the dealer and had it done.

Not sure if there is a similar TSB in Canada.

I wonder if you have to go in with a full tank so that they can make the diagnosis??
thank you for bringing this to our attention, i hope this solves my problem with the noise I hear when gas tank is full.
It's always been there and I took it to the dealer today after finding your post, now I'm waiting on parts. I will let you guys know if this fix the issue.

I did go in with a full tank of gas.

Let us know how this goes. I brought mine in and had this TSB done and the gas tank knocking noise is now gone.

Default Noise under rear seat with full tank

Hello,

Do any of you notice some noise under the rear seat immediatly after you fill the gas to full tank. Its like the fuel is bubbling/gargling kind of noise.
It goes away after driving few miles.
is this normal?

Hi,
This happens when you overfill your gas tank. Always stop filling when you hear the first click on the pump. .

I’m in Oregon which is one of the two States with attendants. Gas is the same price or even lower than adjoining states. In Oregon, they modified the law so that in rural areas and small towns retail self-serve is legal. Diesel (and aviation fuel at airports) is self-serve statewide.
I hate waiting for attendants, especially when short staffed. It creates congestion, can be quite a wait at times. I end up finishing up a fueling since I’m not actually “pumping my own gas”if I’m just putting the nozzle away.
