Default Need Dashboard Help

I'm frustrated. When I got my 17 RX350, the dash showed average fuel economy and maybe instant mpg. For some reason it changed to elapsed time and ave speed since restart. For the life of me I can't figure out how to change it back. Been thru the ridiculous 752 page manual and I think I want "Drive Info 3" but I'm not sure. Getting ready to take a long trip and would like to do this. Can anyone talk me thru it?

I think you have to access the settings through the instrument display and not the nav screen. I believe I saw "Driver Info 1-3 when I was just toying around.

Yes, I found those, but I can't figure out how to get it to display on the inst panel.

OK, I think I can get you to the right area, then you can figure what to change.
On the right side of the steering push the home page. Scroll left or right until you see the gear symbol, select and scroll up or down until you see meter settings. Select meter settings and scroll up and down until you see driver 1, 2 or 3. Select driver 1 or 2 and then select items to change, then scroll up or down and find the item you want to change. You must have selected the option "blank" where the mpg should be displayed. The average mpg it easy to find. The more difficult is the top setting, range, time, average speed, blank, etc. and after start or after reset.
Then find a hoop and jump in and out 3 times and that should do it. Disregard my last instruction.

GOT IT! I copied your post and went outside and did what you said. Then when I scrolled back to the beginning, I had a blank screen. Did that a few times and started to think it had a defect when, by accident, I scrolled up or down and found all the settings I wanted.
Thanks for your patience and help!

Your welcome, glad I could be of help.
The car came with current mpg in bar format on top. When you stepped on the gas pedal the current mpg decreased and when you let up on the pedal it increased. Gee that's helpful.
Then I went to average mph in digital format. The higher the number got my mpg went up and with the lower average mph the mpg went down. Again not so helpful.
Now I have range and although I can find it easily I like having in front of me.
I sure wish they had outside air temp there, it would be so much easter to read than the one on the dash.

Old post, but I'm hoping someone can help. Going a little mad trying to change the items displayed on a given Driver Information Screen. (I have a '20 RX350.) The owner's manual says the items on the DIS are customizable, and I've read the above posts and still can't get it done. I can select the DIS I want to use - that part is straightforward. It is selecting the specific items on the DIS that I can't change. Range and MPG since last Refuel are my desired items. Anyone have even more explicit instructions for doing this? Do I need to sacrifice a chicken?

Answering my own question. You have to press the DOWN arrow button to get to screen customization section. See the 4:48 point in this video from Lexus:
