I leased a 2015 GS 350 F-Sport which I recently turned in for an RX 350 F-Sport. The GS was a fun ride in terms of performance and handling. It was terrible on gas mileage here in New York. The RX is not as aggressive as the GS with regard to performance and handling, but it does a fine job for an SUV. Kick it into Sport + and you'll notice a slight change in steering and engine throttle. I'm happy with my purchase so far.

RX has pretty crappy mpg in NYC too. I don't go above 18mpg. perhaps also because I can't drive RX in any mode but Customize (Sport, Power, Eco)

It's definitely not a good car if you can't or don't want to pay for expensive Porsche maintenance. Same goes with most German cars though.

Thanks! We named her Misty for a reason.

Anyway back to the topic I recommend the OP thoroughly test drive the RX. It's a big jump from the GS in terms of driving experience.

Love your analogy
