Default How much are you paying for insurance?

I'm in the market for a 4RX and I'm wondering which insurance provider you are using and what your premiums are? What's your deductible and coverage? (e.g. 500/750/1000, 25k/50k, 50k/100, 100k/300k)

Geico seems to be the cheapest. Thoughts?

What you are asking for is impossible. There are too many variables involved in determining insurance rates: where you live, credit history, your job, driving record etc, etc, etc.

If you have good experience rating, your RX will not be drastically different to insure than most other cars you have or have had.

I was with State Farm for 30+ years (& have multi car & home owners thru them). When I got my RX, their rate was significantly higher than other companies on line. When they refused to price match, I want with Geico. They were super cheap for 12 months, then bumped it up 25% with the 3rd renewal, and 35% with the 4th (no accidents/ tickets ect). At that point, I went with Ameriprise (CostCo) and have had 12 months of cheap ($325/ 6mo) rates with them. I guess you have to keep switching every few years when the sweetheart deal ends.

Interesting - I switched to Geico several years ago for a big savings (totally clean record with Allstate prior) and Geico hasn't raised my rates since then.

I continue to obtain estimates from different companies ie State Farm and AAA, none can come close to Ameriprise/Costco. Even the different companies sales reps can't figure how ameriprise does it.
2017 RX FSport $337
2016 NX FSprt $278
Over the past 10 years, we have had two incidents, both of which handled efficiently.

250/500 Bodily Liability
100 property
5k medical
100/300 uninsured
Collision deduct 1,000
Comp 1,000

Pretty amazing rates but unlikely I could get that in NJ. High deductibles though - do you have full glass coverage?

from their website--not sure of fine print for glass, but on Costco website, it says:

Glass Repair Reimbursement

Enjoy the view. It's covered.

If a window in your home or condo is broken and you are a Costco Executive Member, we will reimburse you for glass repairs up to $1,000. You can have as many as two glass repair claims in a 12-month period.

Covered by comprehensive car insurance:

So a windshield replacement would likely cost you $1,000 which is the deductible. I have full glass through Geico so zero replacement cost. Of course, you'll be able to afford it with those low premiums

Glass coverage often depends on state laws, so comparing different states is not a reflection of the company. Some states require them to cover glass with no deductible.

Do you know if the 2018 Lexus RX 350 comes with any of the anti-theft devices below? It's one of the Geico insurance questions for anti-theft devices.

Alarm Device (This one is a yes for sure)
Etching Device
Passive Device
Active Device
Homing Device

Besides rates I use this in my process for choosing an insurance company.

Glass coverage covers replacement for OEM glass? Our coverage covers OEM genuine glass replacement with 500.00 deductible in CAD. OEM glasses are expensive up to 3000.00 a pop.

Insurance rates are determined by the vehicle type, how many miles you drive per year, your driving record, coverage limits and most importantly where you are located. I was using a reputable insurance company in LA and when moved from one part to another (about 20 miles away), the policy changed by approximately $500 a year (same miles, cars, driver and coverage).
