Dealer and prep fee what is that?
The way i look it at before fees you seem to be at 12%, which should be a even 15%. 3% difference is up to the end buyer to be worth fighting for. However it gets bad once you account for the fact, you have a $1k prep fee....so about 10% i can assume, which is what you`d probably get discounted on a brand new 2020 from a dealer who moves units.
Renegotiate that deal, and see what others are doing for a comp vehicle

Thanks everyone.
The breakdown of $565 is
Doc fee $495
Title $25
Inspection $45
Our registration would be close to 700-800.
Above was the first quote emailed after a phone call.
I will test drive it on Saturday and then start negotiations...
My target is also 15% of 52099 = $7815
$52099-7815+565 = $44849...
Ideally $44,500.00 out the door + registration.
Another dealer quoted $500 less for a similarly equipped car.

I am think of buying RX350. I live in Austin, Texas. The MSRP of the vehicle I like is 52K.
I can wait until Jan. No rush.
How mush discount I can expect in terms of percentage ?
Also, has anyone tried the Costco program ?
Thanks

2019 Rx 350
I am interested in a new 2019 rx 350 MSRP of 48k
I live in Los Angeles. What do you think is the beat deal I can get before tax and fees?
A dealer recently gave me a price of 42k but I feel they can do better than that.

I'm pretty sure I know which dealer this is based on fees. I looked there as well and they offered me about 12% off MSRP on a very specific car (unfortunately not our preferred colors). I don't think you're going to have a good chance of getting this OTD price at this dealership (or even in the area). There's not much competition around here so they are not as aggressive with their pricing. That being said, you can always offer and go from there.
My recommendation? Drive the 4.5 hours north to DC/MD/VA area and get the vehicle there. That area is pretty saturated and I was able to get about 17% off MSRP. Plus they didn't have the nitrogen fill or high dealership fee and that will save you about $1K. Negotiate ahead of time via phone/email and make a day trip.

if you don't mind, can you please share the dealership name and the sales person from where you got your Lexus? Tank you!

Those fees and discount should be for MY20, not MY19 if anything.
