there is a flaw with beatsonic and iphone xsmax and xs. only works when you connect before you turn car on.
Avoid beatsonic. this is MUCH better and it gives you the full screen.

kinda looks like a hacked apple carplay... wonder the longevity of this down the road with apple updates. Granted Beatsonic is behind on a brand new phone, at least there is support to tell me they are working on it. The screen sharing feature seems more reliable and less chinese interface to deal with, think I'd wait for beat sonic over something I've never heard on an asian website, just my thoughts.
