you guys have been great on the forum here. i am only brave enough to do this kind of mod on my car for the first time bcoz of great community support. I drove my last rx for 10 years and i didn't even change the cabin filter once and paid too much money for the dealer for very little simple things.

I did a factory reset and reinstall Autoplay application last version.
But, still not working.
Even when I just plugged the Galaxy s10e with no dongle, Android Auto is not starting.
Anybody can help me?

Installed the box a couple of weeks ago. Running into quiet phone calls while using CarPlay plugged into the dongle.
Sound of streamed songs from Apple Music or TuneIn radio is normal. Then I make or receive a call, the sound is very very quiet. I have to crank up the volume quite a bit to hear. The other side hears me ok.
The phone is not connected via Bluetooth to neither the car nor the box.

Any ideas?

Hi all - read all 500+ posts in this forum, some a few times! Long time 05 ES330 original owner, and last week I traded up to a perfect CPO 2015 RX330! CarPlay was on my shopping list, but this thread convinced me there were good aftermarket solutions.

Has anyone with a 3rd Gen RX installed this unit? I see teardowns on YouTube for 4th Gen, but not having a lot of experience in this area, I'm intimidated.

Is there any wisdom that anyone has to share?

Has any one found a way of installing apple play on a 2019 RX350 that doesn't have factory navigation?

@derousseau see my posts for install on non-navigation 2016 RX350. Other than the tear down of the head unit, I’d imagine that the install should be similar.

Hi

Does anyone have pictures of cable routing behind the headunit? Everything is working but i cant put back the headunit. I even used force without any luck. I put the box under where aircondition blows and all cable either under or on the side.

There's a nice space that the android box can fit in behind the climate control switches. It should slip back there and you shouldn't have to jam anything. It all fits snuggly but easily enough.

I put below the OEM unit behind the climate control button. I just pushed it down there vertically

Tried verticaly works perfect, many thanks! Everything was working untill i tried the USB dongle the car wont start and after Lexus logo the screen is black. Its beeping and said hybrid system is off. Anyone have same problem?
