Has anyone successfully updated autoplay app to version 2020.05.08.1821? I've tried to update several times but always hang at "installing" phase as in the picture.

try force stop of autoplay in settings. I found app upgrades occasionally get stuck because android can't quit the running autoplay process. takes a few tries

I've tried your suggestion but it still stuck in "installing" stage like previous attempts. Anyone have successfully update to version 2020.05.08.1821?

Go to the "Files", and there should be a section called "Application", find the apk file according the time you downloaded it. Then you can install from there.
Or you may try to log out Google Account from the box.

I am so sick of dealing with this aftermarket CarPlay stuff...we all know that CarPlay should have been standard on Lexus models long ago and at least supported in software upgrades but of course not. My LSailt worked 'ok' every now and then but always had abysmal call quality, like useless, so when listening to music and a call comes in you better grab your phone and turn off the BT and Wifi. Very crappy experience however it appears as everyones call quality stinks on this aftermarket stuff. I'm done and tired of dealing with it. Ordered a new X7 today and may look at the LQ in the future but right now I'm really hating the "Lexus Experience."

My Lsalit has its glitches, but the pros win out over the glitches and I use it every day.

On another note, congrats on the X7. It is an AWESOME vehicle and a huge upgrade from the RX. May very well be my next vehicle.

Default Anyone use a wireless dongle for Apple Airplay?

I’ve seen several brands advertised. Do they work or are they more of a pain than a benefit?

Those only work with aftermarket android head units already installed in the car. You need to install a device like the following I installed in mine to get CarPlay and this one is wireless

I feel ya. Although I still have both the RX and GX in my stable, but I've recently purchased the Aviator just so I don't have to tinker with tech mods to the Lexuses. The LSAIT mod isn't really reliable at all. I'm running latest version but still having frequent crashes, calling problems, etc... You are right, "Lexus Experience" sucks right now.

My 2020 RX comes CarPlay compatible, but you have to plug in. I was wondering how well the wireless dongles work.

So my Lsalit unit only has the wired CarPlay dongle, has anybody upgraded theirs that was equipped that way with a wireless Dongle? Any idea which ones work?

I originally wanted to go with the Lsailt unit as they were the first to have the wireless carplay. I was on Facebook Messenger with Lsailt asking a few questions, etc and that was the only mode of communication and had to wait a day or two for response. Eventually went with GROM as they had wireless carplay support. Been using it for a week and has been pretty straightforward and a breeze to use. They are from California, I had an issue with the unit they sent and they immediately shipped a replacement with return shipping label for the faulty unit.

Sorry, thought you had an older model and didn’t realize the 2020’s were not wireless CarPlay. Everything I read when researching those dongle‘s was they were only compatible with providing aftermarket android systems with carplay functionality, but maybe they have one that plugs into an existing wired CarPlay to provide wireless capabilities

Hey all - I'm getting my 2016 RX350 (with luxury pkg and 12.3" Nav + ML audio) this weekend. Without reading through a thousand responses, could some recommend the best way to add CarPlay? I don't need a standalone android tablet and am okay with wired CarPlay. I would be open to wireless CarPlay if it works well.

It looks like the best option is the Grom Vlite? Is that still true, or would people recommend the Lsailt or a different option?
