On AliExpress I see the Lsailt comes with speaker. Does it not use the Lexus speakers for navigation sound. If so what’s the speaker for. I’m looking to get one with wireless CarPlay for 2017 RX350 so which one do I get. I’m trying decide between the Lsailt and grom and the call quality and Bluetooth been what’s holding me back.

Okay, it seems that there are many Lsailt users who are not satisfied with its carplay connection sound. It looks like even some genuine build-in wireless carplay units have the similar sound issues with the carplay.
The remedy is using the vehicle’s Bluetooth connection.
The problem is that whenever carplay connect the iPhone automatically sends its sound (like music or podcast) via AUX, and the user has to manually switch the sound to lexus Bluetooth.
But if you use the Siri shortcut, one can automatically send the sound to Bluetooth when carplay connects.
so leave the car in Bluetooth source and whenever iphone connects carplay, sounds plays over Bluetooth seamlessly and all phone calls uses Lexus Bluetooth connection, bypassing the bad AUX of the wireless carplay.
Make sure your iphone has paired with Lexus Bluetooth and its connection set up when you create the siri shortcut, and make it automatically run without asking the iphone user.

And yes I know people who have built in CarPlay and also have issues with phone quality.

That is great! I wonder if we can set a script that when you place or answer a call it swaps to the car's BT?

mine already does that. It uses the Bluetooth connection only to initiate the wireless carplay, then, connects to Lexus like it used to before the Lsailt Carplay was installed.

here is an easy shortcut to change between AUX and bluetooth via siri voice command.

then, you can change the audio output to AUX, and you can do the same for Bluetooth. Then on your RX, order your audio source to 1.Bluetooth 2. AUX 3.FM 4. AM .... in this order. Then you can switch car audio with a single operation on the wheel.

I can't get mine to do that. I have accessibility set to Bluetooth, which worked fine in iOS12 but since upgrading to iOS13 it has never worked and I have to select the car's BT manually every call. Its connected to the Lexus BT but uses CarPlay to play the call.

see if you can play with the accessibility feature to fix it.
