Default Issue with fast idle

wondering if fast(high) idle is normal to stay on for 8-10 minutes when i start my rx 2017. The temperature outside is about 44. Btw im doing extremely poor millage 12-14 mpg.

Doesn't sound right - I see the idle in most cars drops down after a minute or two even in colder temps than that.

As mike said, fast idle past a minute or so is not normal. BTW, starting a car cold and let it run for any length of time to warm up gives you exactly 0mpg, which gets averaged in to your mileage.
Speaking of mileage, how are you checking it? Using the dashboard mpg readout is not always exact. Too many variables involved. The only reliable method is the "pencil-and-paper" method.
