Parking Assist Issue with Bumper Bully
I have a new 2019 RX 350. I park my vehicle in an indoor lot with valet service. To protect my rear bumper from the, not so careful attendants, i use a Bumper Bully. With my new RX 350, I find that the car will not go in reverse without the automatic braking taking affect. (even if a disable Parking Assist and Rear Cross Traffic Alert). Are there sensors in the rear bumper? Any suggestions to solve this problem?

Unfortunately, your Bumper Bully covering two of the sensors located on the rear bumper and that's what's causing the issue. I don't know whether you can drill two large holes to uncover the sensors or not and still retain the integrity of the Bumper Bully.

Thanks guys for the help. Now I have a dilemma. The problem is my parking lot and the not so careful valets. When they are parking my car the lights, warnings, sounds, etc are sufficient to prevent touching/hitting another parked car. When they are moving another car, the Bumper protector would be the only protection for my rear bumper. Going to see if I can cut holes in the Bumper Guard to expose the sensors.

Instead of disabling great safety options, how about installing a tow hitch with a long bar ball mount? This is what I have.
PS Since you are probably in NYC, your "protector" does the opposite as people now freely slam into you since you are protecting their car as well

Lead Lap
To turn the ICS system on and off:
1. Press the menu button on the steering wheel
2. Scroll left once
3. Scroll to ICS (at the top) and select it
4. Choose Yes or No
As seen in the image at right, the MID screen will display
whether the ICS system is on (yes) or off (no).
RCTA is different from the Parking assist. Parking assist relies on the dots integrated on the bumper, while the RCTA system relies on two radar sensors (same sensor used for BSM) on either side of the bumper (hidden under the corners of the bumper.
The best piece of advice, thats time tested is, simply attach a towing ball at the back. Most people use that before the bumper buddies came to existence.
