Any other comments about the ticking sound, unstable RPM, or surging when turning on AC?

I feel like these issues should not be there with a vehicle this new.

I've read your post - thank you very much. At least I can point the dealer at one more thing to examine if they shrug their shoulders at me about the ticking sound.

I plan to have the dealer check this out when I go for my oil change, which will be in about 2 months time.

However, the ticking noise seems to have gotten louder in the last 2 weeks and "appears" to be (can't tell for sure) coming from 2 different parts of the engine.

I'm pretty sure mine makes that noise - the colder the ambient air the louder it is, last for a few minutes until the engine warms then I can't hear it. Having a service soon so will ask about it then but I know what they'll say, "We didn't hear anything". That's the problem when it only does it when cold.

In my case, the sound is actually more audible and noticeable when the engine is warm. The ticking sound seems to get covered up by the “vroom” sound of the engine when the engine is cold (since then “vroom” sound is louder on a cold engine).
