Some of the reviews that I've read and watched claim that the RX has significantly better ride comfort than the NX when it comes to both road noise and the suspension absorbing bumps. What are your guys' experiences?
My wife's is 17 RX350 and I drove NX300, NX200t loaners. Somehow the NX seat felt more comfortable for me. And from the size, NX feels a bit more nimble and easier to park. Everything else I liked my RX better. Especially richer engine noise. I don't expect sportiness much from both models as I drive bmw m3.
I originally owned a 2015NX200T. I drove it for about 6 months before I traded it in on a 2016 RX350. I'm 6'4. While I enjoyed the sportier road feel of the NX, I do not miss having to use only premium fuel, worrying about having to charge spark plugs every 40k miles, the much smaller rear cargo area and the fact that to me, it seemed more like a lady's car. Ultimately, I am much happier (and much more comfortable) in my RX, I enjoy standard premium unleaded, have more cargo space, less road noise and a generally more enjoyable ride. The NX is good if you want something small, nimble and sportier - but the RX to me, is the better overall vehicle for passenger comfort, cargo storage, ride height and road noise. To each his own, I did feel more connected to the road in my NX , the RX has a very numb driving experience by comparison. It's not that it drives bad, it just that it's like driving a floating sofa. I still prefer the RX over the NX and am glad I made the change. I'm much happier in my RX.
We have both, wife has the NX300h and its a great car, smooth, quiet, and very nice inside. I liked it so much that i decided i wanted to get back to Lexus and now have the RX450h F sport. The RX is definitely a more luxurious feel, and the V6 is way better than the 4 cylinder, but the NX suits my wife for the kind of driving she does and she loves it. I actually prefer the RX in normal chassis mode rather than sport, but nice to have the option to change if i want to.
