Wanted to share something wierd:
My car seat - front, had a popping sound, palpable motion shifting area, around lumbar support. It was not reproducible in any specific manner. It was extremely uncomfortable at times and on lengthy drives was intolerable. It got so bad once, it made me lean forward and “goose the gas pedal” causing a real safety issue.
I brought my car in to a LEXUS dealer and they gave me the classic “we cant reproduce it” argument. Turns out after I complained enough, they finally took seat apart and found the issue. The A/C blower motor with in the seat back had brackets that shifted position when you sit in the bucket seat and change body weight positioning.
The dealer replaced the brackets on the blower motor and resolved the problem. Shout out to Lexus of Orlando, Winter Park FL.
Key words: Seat, lumbar support, seat popping sound,
