Lexus certified RX with issues
#16
I just bought a 2016 CPO RX350. No problems so far
My last Lexus was a 2015 CPO IS250. The first 90 days I owned it was in the shop 60. Towed twice the first 2 weeks I had it. First it was the ECU draining the battery. Then the A/C servos valves kept locking up. They finally had to bring a guy in and tear the dash apart. He changed all the parts in the system to get it to work.
After that I found a piece missing. The plastic underneath the steering wheel. That took time to get in.
I did get to drive some nice loaners. My first LS and some NX models.

My Tundra was built like a tank. Loved it. Problem was it used gas like a tank.

I picked up my L/certified 2016 RX 350. Right after I hit the highway, problem started. Front wheel shakes when braking. 5 min later, I was back to dealership. I didn't even bother to find my sales associate, instead I went directly into service bay and told them it's a BRAND NEW purchase 5 min ago, detailed what I just experienced. They found front brake rotor is out of shape, and they changed both pad and rotors for free. My service guy said it was used car manager oked the replacement.
And I was back home. PARK ASSIST(sensors) cannot be turn on!!! and rear-door sunshade is tore!!!!! Unbelievable, considering it's certified!! I feel the same way as OP --- I put my blind trust on Lexus "certified" without thorough inspection.
I'm taking the car back to dealership tomorrow, will update after I get back.
