Unless their are rules in place for how long they keep deposits they could have just allocated one of their future builds close to the lease end date of the owner. Plus with LFS offering pull ahead programs, his or her lease end date of august could be as early as May with a pull ahead program. Again lots of unknowns, but the one thing I know folks wont do is, order a vehicle for a production date of January, and then hold it in their inventory till august.

I’m also in Alberta but not having much luck scoring lower than the MSRP with the dealers in the area. Which dealer did you buy from? Mind providing details on your trim and the price you got?

Lexus of Kendall
Lexus of West Kendall (has slightly better reviews)
Lexus of North Miami
Lexus of Pembroke Pines
I just bought a 2019 RX350 from Lexus of Orlando, they have no fees (See the 2019 Prices thread).
I also went to Lexus of Pembroke Pines in person, they have a $799 doc fee, and a $499 Electronic Filing Fee. So I doubt you would buy from them. That leaves the other 3 dealers to work with.
Yes, you would want to work with multiple dealers to get the best price. I mentioned my real life experience in the 2019 prices thread.
If you fill out the Costco form, all that does is get an Internet Specialist to nag you to come in. They get $25 each time you do. The Costco dealer for the Fort Lauderdale area is Pembroke Pines, that's how I ended up there.
Product Specialist - This is the sales person. Can answer questions, test drive.
Sales Manager - This is the person who will do the numbers. Ask for 14% off MSRP which is about $7,500. In my case I got 5k off and the $2,500 national rebate. It looks like the top people in these threads get 16% off after working with multiple dealers. But there are a few factors involved with getting those deals. I had the Orlando and Pembroke dealer looking at this thread with me saying I wanted a similar deal. Supposedly, you won't get a rebate on the 2020s, only older models.
You're going to get a ton of phone calls once you start this process. The internet person will call and text asking when you are coming in. Once you get the Sales Manager, that's when they're going to ask what number you want off MSRP before TTT (Tax, Tag, Title) and any rebate. Some people have done this by e-mail, but it my case, it was over the phone and in person. In fact, once you make contact with a sales manager, it may be a good idea to tell the Internet Specialist to stop nagging, because they don't write up any numbers. But those people want their $25 each time you come in, so they're going to bug you.
Also, to everyone reading this thread, if you can scan your Purchase Agreement (mark out your name), Options page, and attach to your message, that would be proof people are getting these deals. If you can't scan then take a picture of it.

This is what I am hoping that my lease will end earlier than August. Going to wait six months and see if vehicle came in. If so, I want to go up and see it. I did put a deposit on my credit card so at least I got the points.

I need advice on how much I should negotiate on a custom order 2020 RX 450h Sport, which I ordered in July, 2019, and has not been built yet. I'm in Raleigh, NC and our dealer doesn't have any of the 2020 RX 450h as of present date. Here are the specs for the model I ordered: https://lexus.us/2ZMvEIq. Should I offer to pay about 2% less than the "sticker" price? Any advice would be appreciated. This is my first Lexus. Thanks!

I didn't know you can negotiate during delivery for a custom order. You pay a deposit just to make this contract. Only thing which you can add to negotiated rate is the factory incentives at time of delivery.
I just placed order for 55k car with 5k off and only thing additional I get is the factory rebate during time of delivery.

For instance I can think of one specific region where literally you can almost guarantee sticker + market adjustment on these till next March.

But how can you negotiate when you've paid non-refundable deposit for placing custom order? Unless you're ready to walk away from it?
