Default 60k service

Hey Lexus Fam,
Up to this point I have done the every 5k dealer recommended maintenance. We're are 2k miles shy from our 60k. Was wondering if I should do the recommended dealer package or have them check specific things to save some bucks and still maintain the vehicle in top form

I almost always tell people to do the manufacturers recommended service, not the dealer recommended list. Follow the book.

At 60,000 miles, I would get the brake fluid changed, oil changed and a tire rotation. These should be about $225.

I pay less than $410 each for our ES 300h and RX 450h for every 30,000 miles. I never go in an ask for a 10,000 miles or 30,000 mile service. They charge ridiculous amounts for a lot of inspection of things that do not need to be inspected. Every 10,000 miles the oil needs to be changed. Every 30,000 miles the brake fluid needs to be changed. At 30,000 miles the cabin and air filter need to be replaced. I do mine at 20,000 miles and cost $45 for both and take 5 minutes to change. Every 20,000 miles I replace the wiper inserts at $15 and again five minutes to change.

That price of $1600 is ridiculous. At 100,000 miles the coolant needs to be changed. At 120,000 the spark plugs need to be changed. Every 10,000 the oil and every 30,000 the brake fluid. They recommend the air and cabin filters be replaced every 30,000 miles. I am overkill on these. I replace mine again takes five minutes for both every year which for me is 15,000 miles. I do it right after pollen season ends at the end of April. At the end of November, I take both out and clean them with my blower. The cabin air filter especially needs it.

Just keep in mind that THE BOOK says spark plugs every 60k, per the emission warranty.

Your link is for a 2016. I'm pretty sure my 2017 is 60k. Book's out in the garage, check it tomorrow.

Just checked mine. My RX, made in Canada, states spark plugs every 60k. Required under emission warranty. So yes, at 60k, 120k, 180k etc, etc.
Apparently, it was changed from 2016 to 2017.

Wow !!! Just saw on Lexus.com/owners site under the maintenance schedule that the spark plugs need to be changed at 60,000 miles on both the 2016 and 2017. Our 2017 ES 300h states 120,000 miles. Called my local Lexus dealer and their price to change them is $760. On line the six plugs are $100. At 60,000 miles is for both gas and hybrid. called my local Toyota dealership where I get service done and they said they would change them for $530.

Typical Stealership rates. I'll have my independent change them when the time comes.

Most other Toyotas with the same 3.5 V6 specify 120k for the plugs. Don't know why Lexus sticks to 60k.

Anyone know if they are iridium? 60k would be overkill in that case.
