First Trip with New Car (long)
Made the first long trip with our new to us 2017 RX 350. 1200 miles in 2 days, averaged 24 mpg and 66 mph, so we weren't messing around, spent a lot of time with the cruise on 80. Radar cruise control is GREAT and I can see how you might rely on it too much. Turned off the lane assist and centering, but left the alert on. Blind spot monitoring is great. I do not think the 2017 is a easy to drive as our 2011 RX350 was. One of the reasons I didn't like the lane assist and centering was because I seemed to be doing a lot of steering. Even without it I seemed to be doing more steering to keep it in the lane than I ever did with the 2011. One of the things I like about the Lexus is the ease of driving. I am wondering if it might be the electric power steering, or maybe the 20 inch tires, or maybe it needs a little more caster. Anyhow, when we do out first service I am going to complain about it. It does not have auto wipers but in the delay position they adjust to conditions, are they supposed to do that? Navigation worked well, not as well as Google maps and it is 4 years old, so she had trouble with some of my short cuts and some new roads. Still a very nice car, just not as easy to drive as the 2011.

If you are constantly drifting away from center while on the highway, I would check your tire pressure to make sure they're all even. If they are normal, then you might want to bring your car in for a wheel alignment. I've done plenty of long highway runs and never found myself needing to constantly correct the steering.
As for the wiper thing; the first notch down is the Auto wiper setting.
And yes, the built in navigation system is pretty bad compared to a dedicated Nav or waze/google maps. Gets the job done most of the time, but can be an exercise in frustration at times.
