Default Where to Purchase Key Fob

Hello this week we bought a pre owned RX 350 2017 with 14k miles. Love it. The dealer we bought from only had one key fob, suggestions on where to purchase another. Looks like the Lexus dealer is very expensive. Thank you for your feed back.

They re all expensive, beware if you buy elsewhere and if it is an OEM you'll still have to pay for programming so do you math.
If it isn't OEM it may not be programmable.

Probably best / easiest to get new key from dealer (or online edealer). They must be a virgin keyfob transponder. You can buy a key on eBay, but you must be sure that it has been unlocked. Some online companies can unlock the keys if you mail them to them. From memory my RX was a HYQ14FBB fob. You have to open your fob and read the circuit board to see which one your vehicle needs.

Once you have a new key (or used key that has been unlocked) you (or dealer or competent 3rd party) can program it to your vehicle with Toyota Techstream. There are various keysmiths in major cities that can do this. There is also YouTube videos showing the TechStream programming.

I responded to you yesterday but somehow my post disappeared. Anyway, a Lexus comes with two fobs, so your dealer should step up and give you another one. They are expensive and somewhere out there someone has a key to your car.

I just purchased two key fobs from https://www.keylessentryremotefob.co...exus-is350.htm

One for my 17' IS350 FSport and one for my wife's 16 IS200T

I am trying to program this weekend. Just got Techstream connected.

Here is the link for what I think you need. https://www.keylessentryremotefob.co...Fob-s/8448.htm

Some technicians with a really expensive fancy scanner might be able to program the key, but that all depends on the year and model supported by the scanner.

You might be able to get a cheaper key fob online but programming at dealerships still cost quite a bit.

I have a VM with Tech stream installed and configured. If you have the cable I can share the VM
