2020 Navi Question - Lexus vs A.A. or C.P.

I was searching this very thing just a few days ago for new 2020 Rx350.
People were reporting that Waze is working on update to properly work on Android Auto.
Evidently, Waze would show up on the 12.3" screen if AA app is put in Developer's mode. I did that using AA on the phone (separate AA app for the phone needs to be downloaded/installed). Good luck!

I had the Nav in my 2016, and it was easier using that than pulling out a phone. The car Nav wasn't as accurate as the phone apps, but functional and prefer the carplay over the car Nav. I paid about $300 to update my 2016 map to the 2018 one. So Lexus map vs unlimited data plan & current maps on my phone = No Nav for my 2020 RX. If I'm planning a trip I download the map in advance onto my phone just in case I lose cell service. It would be nice to know if it's possible to use the entire screen in carplay while using map apps. Please share if anyone knows....
