RX, RDX or next gen MDX?

I recall seeing that on the new MDX. Can't remember if it's in the Tech package.
I used to have 2 different MDX and many other Honda/Acura products in the past. The transmission was the weak spot for the MDX besides the VCM (cylinder deactivation) isn't something you'll want. Lots of issues with engines problems from it. IMO, I'm staying away from Acura/Honda due to reliability.

No experience with Acura but a colleague at work is a devoted owner. Last one TLX - he dumped after two years after many weeks spent at the dealer with numerous issues. Next up RDX - trans blew up at roughly 40K miles - repaired under warranty of course. I'm not visiting an Acura dealer anytime soon knowing this.

Panoramic View Monitor with Intuitive Parking Assisted Rear Cross traffic braking at $1365.00
It's an add on package. I really like the feature also.

We are doing the same with my wife's RX which we bought new in 2017. Car is in perfect shape but I get the feeling she ready for something new.

We were really tempted to consider the new NX when we replaced ours in March, but one of the things we didn't care for was the ride quality of the NX and it didn't look like that was going to be improved in the new model - and cargo space was pretty tight. The new model looks very nice so I certainly understand the buzz as well as what this may mean for future RX design. I also prefer to avoid first year vehicles so I wouldn't have purchased a first-year design NX nor would I do the same with an RX. I have actually had the best luck (yes, even with Lexus) by waiting until after the first refresh. So our decision to buy the 2021 model RX was with full understanding that the vehicle was nearing the end of the model's lifecycle and understanding that it would age faster - both inside and out.

i believe 2020 and newer RX are the best buy right now if you're in the market for a luxury 5 seat SUV. sure, X5 has more power, but it's $5k more and not as reliable as Lexus. GLE's base engine is a turbo 4. for those who's waiting for the gen 5 RX, it's still at least two years away, and for me at least i don't like to buy first year model, even as reliable as Lexus. the model years after the mid-cycle refresh are always the best time to buy.

I'm not a fan of turbo engines though.

We are looking for a RX/RXL but know a new one is coming probably late 2022. I heard there's a TX with 3 rows coming out also.
I'm not a fan of turbo engines though.

didn't click on the video, but the the RX in the picture looks like pre-2020 model according to the tailights.

I totally get what you guys are saying. So it’s best to avoid first gen of a refresh because of potential issues, right? That makes sense. But plenty of people do buy them and I heard Lexus cars are pretty reliable and they have great customer service. My Acura lease ends mid 2023 and I really want to buy the new RX when it comes out. Will it be released end of next year? If so, then at least it’ll be out for several months and I can see what the issues are lol

i do think the 3.5L V6 will be carry over to the next gen gas model RX. otherwise, we would've seen the turbo 4 on the new gas model Highlanders. No point to have a v6 on Highlander and a turbo 4 on a RX. However, i do believe the next gen RX450h will be based on a 4 cylinder gas engine, like the new Sienna and Highlander Hybrid.
