Default Key Fob Low battery warning for a good battery

I keep getting this warning but the battery is good. Tested perfect on battery tester. Why does this keep happening?

Try swapping the battery out with your other key.

Also try your other fob -- if the car is happy with that one, the problem may be in the first fob.

Or just change the battery and see what happens. 90 second process.

The battery tester typically does not load the battery down, just looks at the voltage with no load. Some batteries fail early by not being able to supply the voltage when a significant load is present. This typically this occurs in cold weather or excessive heat.

Default Key FOB not detected in Vehicle

On my 2016 RX450h I have been getting this notification, happened 3 times in last couple of weeks.

Today, it happened and then Key FOB battery low.

It happened after I started the Lexus and was driving.

That is when I noticed the above.

It eventually cleared itself.

Tested battery, 100% good, just been changed as part of a recent service.

What is going on?

Comments?

Thanks

Where do you keep the fob? In your pocket? Is your cell phone next to it?

The iphones all now have magnets in the back, I always keep the keys in opposing pockets just in case something might interfere with the key fob.

Did you try the other fob? Turn your phone off see what happens.

I replaced the battery on the ES and it's really simple to do.

Here's how to do it:

A battery tester just measures the voltage with no current draw. When batteries reach their limit, they tend slowly drop the voltage with no current load. But old batteries drastically drop the voltage when significant current is drawn. Also, temperature affects how much current they can supply. At low temperatures, batteries tend to fail to supply enough current.

Default Key Fob Low warning (2022 RX 350 AWD)

I changed out both Fob batteries and still getting the warning on my Lexus App... any ideas? Thanks.
Both are new Energizer Lithium batteries now, but warning stays.

I did log out and log back in on the App.

The Lexus app leaves much to be desired. It has always been buggy, and as long as they continue with the same development team, it will continue to be buggy. I recently had a problem with the app and had to remove it and reinstall to fix the problem. You might want to give that a shot?

By the way, the Lexus web site isn’t any better. When I log in, it states I have no vehicles, yet it won’t let me add a VIN because the “vehicle is already added!” Good grief. They make cars and should outsource their IT systems to qualified professionals.

Thanks TechNut. Uninstalled and re-installed app, but still showing FOB Low Battery warning. I guess I will have to run it in to Lexus.
