Default recall/service campaign gas fill up

Just had my 2019 rx350 recall/service campaign for the emissions control updated.

In the past lexus would always fill up the gas tank for service campaigns OR recalls, but i guess not anymore because covid has increased much of their costs.

Had this been everyone’s experience so far?

They filled mine up after the fuel pump recall. I've never had gas provided for any other service event, including the recent front door handles recall.

As a Lexus owner you should go to this site, https://drivers.lexus.com/lexusdrivers, and create an account. Add your vehicle and then you can see Recalls, any service performed by Lexus dealerships, download the owners manual as a PDF, etc. Plenty of good info, too.

I just had the fuel pump recall completed on my ES and they did indeed return the car to me with a full tank.

Dealer tech here, at my dealer, we fuel up for all recalls and campaigns. I just took a look at the door handle service campaign and it does cover fuel fill-up costs...

Huh! Perhaps I should take it in with the yellow Low Fuel light on next time!

It must be dealer dependent. They have never filled my tank after recall work.

Full gas tank fill up for

20LC03 - REPROGRAM ENGINE CONTROL MODULE

Would you kindly check?

Or did lexus stop doing this to save in cost due to covid?

Just got the 2 recalls done yesterday. Advise to bring in at 1/4 tank for fuel pump service. Emission software update also completed. My dealer did not fill gas tank. I did not way any car wash or sanitizing service which is complementary. Provided a 2020 NX300 loaner.

I have not had a tank fill up whenever I brought my car to the dealer for service campaigns, dealer missed an item that I had ordered, or even when the dealer did not fix an item and had to go back again to get it fixed again.

The two Lexus dealers I have used ( Lexus of Mt. Kisco and Prestige Lexus of Ramsey ) have always filled the gas tank after a Recall.
This included two air bag recalls on the SC430, an air bag recall on the 2016 RX350 and the recent fuel pump recall on the 2018 RX350.
Not sure on Service Campaigns. The only Service Campaign I remember was done at the same time as the fuel pump recall.

Prestige Lexus for me and they filled my ES after this same recall was completed.
