17 RX F Sport- rear passenger seat belt receiver seems to be locked so we can’t insert the belt into it. We can only push the seat belt about half way into the receiver. When I start the car the rear passenger seat belt light on the center console remains off like the car thinks that seat belt is connected. The receiver is locked as if the seat belt was connected and secure. Is there any way to unlock the receiver?

 

I had the same problem, in my previous car (Nissan X-Trail). Probably there is only a small dirt in the receiver. First of all, let's try to clean it with a vacuum cleaner, while you are shaking the receiver and pushing its button many times. If it doesn't help, you need to go to the service station. Unfortunately, in my case, the receiver must have been changed, because it was really faulty. Luckily it happened during the warranty period. :-)
