Default Acceleration Issue?

My 2017 RX 350 F Sport with 69k KMs is making a very strange revving sound (?) when accelerating from stop or very low speed.

Any ideas? Could this be related to Fuel Pump recall?

Turn up your Volume & watch video, listen specifically at 2-3seconds: ACCELERATION ISSUE?

Hey Mike - I think the RPMs are OK. If you watch the Video, you can see my RPMs & hear the sound at same time.

The acceleration (mph) and rpms look normal to me. The sound is not so normal -- I wonder whether there's a leak in your exhaust system somewhere.

Thanks for the insight!

Another thing I was thinking... Lexus currently has a Recall out on my model for " Faulty Fuel Pump".

"The subject vehicles are equipped with a low-pressure fuel pump which may stop operating. If this were to occur, warning lights and messages may be displayed on the instrument panel, and the engine may run rough. This may result in a vehicle stall, and the vehicle may be unable to be restarted. If a vehicle stall occurs while driving at higher speeds, this could increase the risk of a crash."

Could this be related?

I don't think the fuel pump recall would be related to a noisy exhaust. If your fuel pump fails, your engine stops running and you coast to a stop on the side of the road.

Seriously, you need to have your dealer do the fuel pump recall repair, but that has nothing to do with your noisy exhaust. You need to have the exhaust system examined for leaks or failed components.

I do not think the 2017 model is subject to the fuel pump recall. You can call your dealer to be sure.

Wonder if it's a problem with the F-Sport resonator. Maybe try removing it and see if the sound goes away? Some instructions here:
