To be honest, I prefer the previous LED tail light than my 2021 RX

Hi, I just got a 2021 RX 450h premium package that has the base head and tail lamps; is it possible to upgrade my tail lamps to these LED ones found in the triple beam package? Would it be simple plug and play?

I also think the 2020 lights look better.

The sidelights were easy to install, but the challenging part was the inner lights which required removing the whole rear trim piece.
can you explain how did you remove the whole rear trim please

Posted some pics from my tail light swap that I hope will help some people doing this upgrade. Been a few months but some tips off the top of my head - outer tails are fairly easy. Left side outer, if you have small hands you can remove the rectangle plastic piece and reach down there to unplug the wiring harness and plug in the new one. Right side outer requires you to remove the panels to an extent to reach down there and swap the harnesses. Look closely at the new light you are installing to see where the mounting points are so you don't break anything taking the old off. The inner lights took me the longest since I didn't realize for awhile how much you need to remove. Once you know that, it's pretty straight forward. Be sure when you reinstall the outer decklid that you slip it under the rubber lining

Hi,
I have a 2019 RX 450H and I have the pre-facelift tail lights as well, I wonder if I buy the 2020 facelift tail lights will my sequential turn signal will stop working?
I live in the Philippines and the RX comes with sequential turn signal lights as standard. I plan to purchase on eBay and i don't know it will be affected if i replace it.
Thank you.

Hi I have a 2019 RX450H with triple beam, I don't need to replace any wires or harness right? I plan to buy the tail lights at eBay.

My understanding is that you don't need to switch out any harnesses if you already have the triple beam headlights. If you're switching yours out, do you mind taking pictures of the connectors for me? My RX has the base headlamps and the tail lights have halogen turn signals...which I believe means I'll need to find harnesses with connectors that have the LED turn signal connecctors

Hi sure I will do that then I will post it here. I'm ordering the 2020 facelift tail lamps now from eBay. I will take pictures while installing it.
My only issue and wonder is I have sequential Led signal lights I hope it will still work too. I will keep you posted once I install it. I will take
pictures of the connectors as well.

For those of you that have done this upgrade, about how much did the four replacement lamp assemblies cost? I assume most of you bought them used off eBay...

Could be done fab a piece of acrylic and put an LED strip behind it.

Would anyone have the part list we will need to do a conversion to 2020 taillights?

im assuming since they are LED the bulbs come built into the housing so I shouldn’t be too worried about that part?

I’d greatly appreciate a parts list of anyone put one together!

My car came with triple beam so from what I’ve read it should be pretty plug and play

thanks everyone for all the info!
