I'm still trying make peace with doing this work at 60K miles, since I live in a state that does not have emissions testing. Hard to believe the plugs are actually worn/burned at 60K.
I posted information and pics above in Post #149.

Bought OEM plugs and gaskets. Used CCN but also Viktor more. I think CCN had a hint about removing a stud holding on the intake.

It was not horrible reaching the back plugs. Center plug was kinda blind but just take your time. Just don't drop a bolt on those back ignition coils. I had my iPad running the video as I did the job so literally just do what he does.

I did mine around 60k but I am sure that they could have easily gone 120k. I had a free day, job was cheap, and I keep my vehicles forever.

AFAIK, Lexus uses basically the same V6 as Toyota. Toyota says plugs every 120k. Lexus says 60k. As long as your state has no emission requirements and the car is running fine, I'd leave the plugs alone.

I just looked at a used RX at a local dealership - 2021 RX with 30k miles. And the dealer just changed the spark plugs, as part of the CPO inspection - w/only 30,000 Miles. Why would they do that?

That's a question I would have asked the dealer.

I did, he said "maybe they drove it hard". Whatever that means. Bottom line the sales person doesn't know.

LOL! If a salesguy says the previous owner "drove it hard", I certainly would look for a different car or dealer. I'd say they never changed the plugs, because, how would you know?

Pull a plug from the front bank and take a look. Should be pristine if they just did them. Somehow doubt that they would allow that (would take about 2 minutes total time)....or maybe they just did the fronts....lol

Right, my concern is not that they changed them or not, but WHY would they change them? Why would they even check the plugs? This dealer (probably all dealers) didn't change the plugs on other CPO cars they had, only this one. So that tells me there must have been a reason the mechanic did that - like maybe it was running rough or some other "issue".

To much mystery for me - I'll pass on this one.

Driving hard enough to burn out plugs at 30k in a SUV, you had to be racing or towing. Or maybe they had oil on them and that's not a good thing with any miles.

According to this Toyota Dealer here, it is the same requirement at 60k.

My 2010 V6 is 120k. According to my owners manual.

That is not a 2GR-FKS, but a 2GR-FE non GDI engine. Big difference there.
