Strange that the original owner wanted the LCD monitors for passengers, but no nav. You won't miss the nav if you've never had it. Once you've had it, you won't go back, LOL. Yes, Enform is a subscription, and you need to find a thread about 3g telematics connectivity going away for 2017 and earlier model years. Personally I think the price is high, due to the technology situation (or lack thereof) on that car, but if you're only looking for a smooth ride from point A to point B, that car will work for you.

These choices are very much a matter of personal taste, so your preferences may be different than mine. Personally, I'd think I could find a 2018 with nav, for $32K. I don' t care about the actual navigation and don't use it, but the map display comes in very handy when driving in unfamiliar territory and looking for a particular street or intersection. If the 2018 is low mileage, you might have to go to $35K, but you'd be getting a lot more for the money, IMHO. Don't forget to ask about the tire tread -- mine were shot at 28K miles and some folks had to replace them at 25K.

so the 2018 has that much more tech? I keep looking at reviews and they say the 017-018 were unchanged

2018 and newer have the 4G LTE telematics, while 2016 and 2017 are 3g and terminate next year. Other than that, I believe the differences from 2017 to 2018 are mostly cosmetic.

The used car market is pretty high right now due to lack of production on new vehicles. As for having the Nav the updates for the maps is around $300, but if you use your phone the maps are free. I had a 2016 with the nice display with Nav and used it, but my phone was better. The 2020 RX I have now we opted not to have the Nav, but it does have carplay. Don't let the Nav part be a deal breaker if you like the car imo.

The nav is not really awesome, its okay. The primary reason I have it is because my Premium package included it. I do prefer the larger screen tho, all that dead space around the smaller screen would drive me crazy. Plus, the smaller screen has that "****" to navigate vs the "joystick" in the Nav. The "****" version drove me crazy when I got it as a loaner. To each his own.

I will add that conversions are more civil than my other car forums. That doesn't mean we don't disagree on somethings here.

For me the Nav was a deal breaker as you get the massive screen.
Either way you can't really go wrong....Test drive both and see if you can live without it. Thats what I did and I learned that even though I use Waze on my phone 99% of the time I wanted the bigger screen...

PLUS as mentioned above it helps to locate streets in areas I may not know so well.

GL!

My RX don't have navi so i use my phone via a phone mount on the vent. My sister has the nav and she still use her phone. My other car also have navi but I still use my phone.... The only real option that really blew me away was the ML sound system which i'd happily pay a couple of grand for if that was possible.
