Default Apple CarPlay too bright/overexposed?

Has anyone ran into this issue? During the day I've noticed that Apple CarPlay is extremely bright, as if the contrast is turned up too high. If I have any Map application open you can't see the roads because everything is the same color its so bright. Turn on the headlights or parking lights and CarPlay displays as it should without any washed out colors. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks!

Press the Menu button then Setup>General>Display and from there you can make make the adjustments necessary. You may have to make minor adjustments after that but this should help.

It is a bug in Apple software.

No, it's a setting problem in the screen setup.
