What's also funny is that both of my Lexus hybrids came with paddle shifters. Its not like you can "shift gears" with an eCVT

. LOL Anyway, when you "shift" down it does offer some engine braking so these transmissions must have some sort of simulated gearing. I have used the paddle shifters a bit on steep downhill mountain grades. Never use it around town.

Riba how is this working for you? You mentioned using a 2013 and up GS parts, is that what you did?

Looked at the part numbers and they don't go down that old on the Lexus parts application guide.
