What's also funny is that both of my Lexus hybrids came with paddle shifters. Its not like you can "shift gears" with an eCVT. LOL Anyway, when you "shift" down it does offer some engine braking so these transmissions must have some sort of simulated gearing. I have used the paddle shifters a bit on steep downhill mountain grades. Never use it around town.

Riba how is this working for you? You mentioned using a 2013 and up GS parts, is that what you did?

Looked at the part numbers and they don't go down that old on the Lexus parts application guide.
