Arrow DIY How to Add Paddle Shifters to 2016-21 RX350 RX450h

Not sure anyone has done this, but I just added paddle shifters to my RX350. Really easy, quick and a different car now.
Watch this video on how to remove steering wheel and how to take it apart

Parts:
8452348020
4518448110c0
4518348010c0
4518348020c0

84610-48060
84610-48050

Any 2016 and up RX and any 2013 and up GS paddles shifters will work(some good deals on eBay).

Not sure why you would want paddle shifters on an RX. Not like it's a performance car. Whatever floats your boat I guess.

In that case, it's probably the carbon fiber flat bottom wheel itself and not so much the paddles that his wife became obsessed with Yes paddles on an RX is really laughable.

Shifting gears yourself is very enjoyable (doesn’t have to be a performance car)…..I’m very young but I know the RX demographic is older and some of them don’t like fun things 🤪

I appreciate that you took the time to make and post your video, along with posting part numbers. I like what you have accomplished.

Yep - I already told my son in law I'm going to race him in his M4 once I have the paddles installed on my wife's RX

I'm pretty young myself but I love my RX haha. Genuine question though, what is the point of installing paddle shifters on a 450h? I have the 2021 model and it came with paddle shifters (I think they're standard now on new models?) but with an eCVT transmission, using those shifters really doesn't do anything at all for me

Steering wheel looks awesome but paddle shifters are over rated. If there’s no clutch, and no shifter to throw it’s not the same.

My F sport 350 came with paddle shifters. I use them for manually shifting when i tow a trailer.

I wouldn’t call it enjoy. That's the only way to keep the 8 speed Transmission in higher gears while under load during towing. Otherwise the transmission valves get destroyed. I think.
