Bumper cover question
Just bought a 2017 RX350 that's still under warranty. Love it but have a little problem with the bumper cover, both on the right and left side. It will not clip in completely. The pictures show the left side with it not quite clipped in and then when I pulled it out some to see if there was a clip missing. It looks to me that there are no clips but it just goes together with the edge of the fender and the clipping is not working. Anyone else had this problem and would it be covered under the warranty?
Thanks
Thanks

Bumpers are attached to the unibody/frame with a bumper bracket and bumper clips. The bracket is attached to the unibody, and the clips connect the bumper cover to the bumper bracket.
This attachment system is designed in such a way that, when the bumper is impacted, the bumper clips easily break, and by doing so, the extent of damage beyond the bumper is reduced.
It appears that your car was in a minor collision, and the bumper attachment system was damaged. In order to assess the extent of the damage, the bumper cover would need to be removed. At a minimum, it is likely that bumper clips would need to be replaced. Beyond that, there could be damage to the bumper bracket or to the bumper cover, itself, which could require replacing the entire bumper assembly. There is also potential for damage to the shock absorber behind the bumper cover.
Such damage would not be covered by the warranty. However, if you bought the car from a Lexus dealer and it was a CPO vehicle, that should have been repaired before the car was sold, and you should be talking with management at the dealership. If the car was bought from a private party or if it was bought from a non-Lexus dealer, you would likely be on your own.
Good luck.

I've seen this in other forums and this eventually degrades the quality & quantity of replies as many people no longer bother to answer and then the forum becomes irrelevant.
If one has the time to read the replies it doesn't take that long to say...whatever

Apologies to you no offense was meant. It's just that we see a lot of hit and runs after people take the time to reply.
