That's pretty much what I said, no?
You seem to be intent on having the last word. Perhaps you should read the posts you are replying to.

The engineers do the best they can. Perfection? Just a goal. I am the least perfect individual and the last word comes from my wife.

I really have no idea, but I would guess you wouldn't be able to turn it off.

- no one is in the car
- seats are up and latched
- seats are not powered
- status query shows all doors locked, all windows closed.

What could it be? Has anyone else seen that?
I have the same issue and I cannot figure it out. I’m going to call the dealership this week to see if it’s just a glitch

You should read through this thread before you call the dealer.

So I read through the thread, and I see no one has an answer. Do you have an answer for me?

In my opinion and a few others on this thread is that this is a safety feature to help prevent someone from forgetting they might have a pet or small child in the back seat. No one seems to know a way to turn it off. I didn't have that feature on my RX. See what your dealer says and let us know.

Crazy that people are dim witted enough to forget their children in the back seat, but I believe it happens!

Default Scream!

I was expecting to see the Scream Ghostface and then having my throat cut and my family finding blood all over my heated leather seats.
😆😱

It defeats the safety feature if can be deactivated just like the seat belt warning. Yes, enough people has left their kid in cars and have died which is very sad and unthinkable. An unfortunate safety feature....

Indeed, and despite my earlier post making light of this notification (“Zombieland Rule #10”) the sad fact is that even sane, responsible parents can somehow make a horrific mistake. For the rest of us, it’s hard to understand how this could happen yet the unthinkable does indeed occur, despite the parents seeming to be extremely loving, caring, and attentive. Numerous studies can’t seem to make any sense of it.

As of today I started to get messages on my phone to check the rear seat. In my previous post I said that my kids are grown and I don't have any pets. If I did not have the Enform app and I had left kids or pets in the car would I know? So why did they add the feature to the app as opposed to updating the firmware in the vehicle that reminds you to check the back seat when you turn the vehicle off???

Default Enform App How to Turn Off Certain Notifications

After reading about the "check rear seat" notification I called my dealer to find out about it. As discussed in another thread that notification started showing up some time ago. I called my dealer and spoke to the technology person. My dealer has a dedicated person just for that.

If you want to turn off any notifications just open the Enform app, go to account in the lower right corner of your phone, scroll down to notification settings open that up and turn on or off whatever notifications you want. Hope this helps.
