As of today I started to get messages on my phone to check the rear seat. In my previous post I said that my kids are grown and I don't have any pets. If I did not have the Enform app and I had left kids or pets in the car would I know? So why did they add the feature to the app as opposed to updating the firmware in the vehicle that reminds you to check the back seat when you turn the vehicle off???
Because the app allows you to lock all doors *remotely*. In other words, unlike an internal car notification from the firmware, you wouldn't be able to see a child or pet in the back seat if you are remote. You can turn off the notification if it bothers you.

My point was that the message just started showing up. It does not bother me. I was trying to offer a solution.
Question. How can I check rear sits if i am locking my car, by the definition, remotely?
If you are reminded while using the app remotely and you don't know that you are locking your young child or pet in the car. Well then I hope a cop or someone rescues them before something worse happens to them.
The message is too terse. At least tell us what to check for.
"Message to driver: you left a bottle of water in the back seat. It is a 12oz Poland Spring. It is half empty. The cap is on tight. Please remove bottle before driving, or drive to the nearest Lexus dealer to have them resolve the situation."
