Default Lexus App -- Please check the rear seat

When I lock the car via the Lexus app on my Android phone, I get (all the time, lately) a message "Please check the rear seat of your 2017 RX 350 5-door SUV 4x4".

Check for what?
- no one is in the car
- seats are up and latched
- seats are not powered
- status query shows all doors locked, all windows closed.

What could it be? Has anyone else seen that?

I suggest the "note" has been added to remind parents and pet owners to not forget and leave a live individual/pet in the car by accident.

Oh . . . yes, that makes sense. You've locked the doors remotely so a reminder to check something living wasn't left behind is not a bad idea.

Sometimes these "nanny" reminders can be a bit annoying and not welcome. What's next? When one picks up the key fob in the morning does it ask if you remembered to put your pants on before you leave the house?

Sorry that those "nanny" reminders that may prevent children's deaths in overheated cars annoy you.

Why not just take care of your loved ones? Whether in the car or in the house you shouldn't need reminders.

There are no perfect people so should we expect a perfect car?

Sound like it might be a good idea but if they were going to do that there should be a way to avoid getting those messages. I don't have pets and my kids are grownups. And I don't currently get that message as the OP explained.

You own two Corvettes. Remembering to put on your pants may be a good thing 😉 I can say it, I’ve owned seven Corvettes

Default deleting the notifications

Hi Guys

I've been searching google to see if it's possible to delete the massive list of notifications that accumulations in the Lexus App.
I've been overwhelmed by the answer to this question: which is "turn off your notifications"
That doesn't deal with a crap load of notifications.

Any solution?

I don’t have an Android. But on Apple you can stop the notifications. I have them all turned off except for sound and vibrate on phone calls. And only vibrate on text message.
