Default Steering wheel whirring/clicking

Just bought a used RX sport. Still has warranty. The steering column makes a clicking / whirring noise when I turn. Sometimes it doesn’t. Brought it back to have them fix it and they told me it was normal and that it would go away with the motor heating up??? This hasn’t been my experience. I’m tempted to have them take it back off principle. Anyone know what

Sounds like a steering wheel column bearing.

nonsense, the mechanic is an idiot. Steering wheels don't warm up.

It needs to be serviced or parts replaced.

Then I'd go to other dealers and see if they have a more intelligent answer.
What that mechanic told you is pure BS.

Unhappy Clicking noise on the steering colom inside car

Hi lexus world,

I have a Lexus 2017 RX450 H. lately hearing a clicking noise on the steering Colom inside the car. when riding on a kind of bumpy road. Any one can give a advice. do the steering Colom have a bearing that is worn?
Can this easily be replaced?

Please help.
Your assistance will be highly appreciated.

Sounds like a clock spring problem.

Problem solved. It was the steering damper. Replaced. Back to normal.
