Default RX oil capacity?

I am planning to change my own oil on my 2017 RX 350. I know that the 2011 RX 350 took 6.5 quarts. Can anyone confirm what the capacity is for the 2017 model? I cannot find this information anywhere on the web.

Thanks,

Don

Usually with towing package car equipped with radiator to cool off transmission and that would require more transmission fluid not engine oil. I am wondering why there is a difference in engine oil capacity.

Engine oil coolers are embedded into the coolant radiator end caps (liquid to liquid).
HD cooling specs apparently enlarge both the coolant radiator and the oil cooler
loop inside the end cap. Transmission coolers without Trailering Equipment have
just the liquid to liquid type but add an additional external liquid to air cooler. On the
RX it is visible by looking forward of the left front wheel through the vents in the fender.

I have downloaded both the RX and LX manual to my iPhone and iPads so I have them with me at all times. You can too.

Page 678 as noted above. Download it before it is taken down. Round up to six quarts and you are set.

My 2018 takes the same 5.7 qts; I just put 6qts. in and it's slightly over the full mark, no need to worry.

Drive the car for 15 minutes and recheck. Then recheck when engine is cold.
