Default Help! Sound system way too loud.

My new 2022 RX was delivered with all of the radio and SXM channels set a maximum volume. Is there a universal setting that I can change so I don't blow out my eardrums? And could the Automatic Sound Levelizer be the culprit?

As I was driving home from the dealership, I flipped on the radio and nearly jumped out of the vehicle because of the volume. It was painfully loud.

If there are no suggestions, then I am putting on ear protection to flip through each channel and manually set the volume to a normal level.

Thanks in advance for your responses.

There is nothing in your post that states you tried "turning the volume down". Maybe that would be a good start. But who am I?

Thanks for the suggestion, but I did turn down the volume. When I skipped to the next channel it was at max volume too. I was wondering if there was a global setting that worked across all channels so I would not have to blow out my eardrums 36 times.

You have to go into settings > set-up > car and adjust there where the speaker balance balance is found

If nothing else, call or visit your dealer. They usually go over most of the common instructions upon delivery.

It may be how you're holding the steering wheel and your finger or another part of your hand is pressing the volume button.

Only two possibilities; in either case see your dealer.

1. The audio control software is corrupted and needs to be reinstalled.

2. Head-unit has a faulty chip.

Did this ever get fixed? If so, what repair was required?
