Perhaps I am using the wrong term.

Try shifting slowly from Park to Drive. Do you feel a jerk forward motion when the shift leveler hits Drive (with foot on brake)?

What is your tachometer reading when you get this forward jerk?

The idle is not high, it is below 1000 rpms.

Maybe I can relate with you, since I have an AWD F Sport also. Maybe the FWD does not have this issue?

Does your AWD produce the same symptom as mines?

Thanks

I get a mild bump when I move it into D, similar to other automatic transmissions I've owned. Mine idles smoothly at 700 rpm when warmed up. It still makes enough power that it will roll forward while idling, even on a slight uphill grade. Also, and probably unrelated to your question, I have noticed that this transmission automatically disengages when the brake is applied and the car comes to a stop, and then re-engages when the foot comes off the brakes. I didn't notice this until stopping at a light on an uphill grade, where I can feel the re-engagement when the light turns green and I take my foot off the brake.

Is yours an AWD? On the FWD, it does not happen.

If you have the auto-parking brake setup as "auto".

If you are parked on a sloppy driveway, hold the foot brake for a 2-3 sec when shifting from Park to Reverse. Thus, the parking brake can release smoothly. It will make the shift more pleasant also.

Why does that matter though? Especially, when it fully disengage the brakes.

I can feel the forward jerk with the brakes depressed even before I hit the gas. So i do not think that is related.

I think it is related to the drive shaft and the differential engaging.
