Default Changes from 2017 to 2022 model year

Anyone own these 2 vehicles and have a good/bad comparison? Just upgraded my wife’s car so far just about everything has been improved. Most noticeably the transmission shift point are WAY smoother.

Default Differences between '17 & '21 RXes?

Is there anyone that works at Lexus here that could describe to me the differences between the 2017 RX350 and the 2021 model? I went to take my IS in for service and they gave me a '21 RX350 for a loaner and it drove completely different than my base model '17 with 50,000 miles on the clock. It was quieter, smoother on the straights, better in the corners, and had a completely different shift strategy in both normal and sport modes.

Anyone?

The Lexus RX 350 went thru a minor upgrade in 2020. That change added new technology features (such as CarPlay and Android auto). You can read most of those changes here 2020 Lexus RX Review, Pricing, and Specs (caranddriver.com) (Although strangely they don't mention Carplay and Android Auto). There is another article here 2020 Lexus RX 350: Changes and Updates Since 2019 | Torque News. As far as the 2021RX, it had a few minor updates from 2020. The following is quoted from a Lexus brochure "To upgrade your safety on the road, the 2021 Lexus RX will add standard Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Cross Traffic Alert to the Lexus Safety System+ 2.0 suite of systems. Power-folding side mirrors will be standard for the latest Lexus RX. New optional features include a wireless phone charger and a restructured Handling Package."

I can tell you that I traded my 2016 for a 2021 last month. I can definitely notice the driving changes, especially in corners. It's still no sports car but it definitely seems to handle better than my 2016.

Four years fewer on the road, fewer miles I suspect, fewer potholes hit etc That will make the ride different for basically the same car.

For sure. I don't pay attention to tech as I rarely use it but the way the car drives and handles overall is a night and day difference. My guess is a different shock valving/spring rate, along with possibly more soundproofing, quieter tires, TCM strategy, but this stuff is obvious. I was just wanting to see if anyone knew it for sure or not.
