Default F-Sport Door Creaks

Hello everyone,

I recently purchased a 2020 F Sport and I've noticed that there are some creaking noises with the door meets the dash. I can get it to stop by “wedging” my finger at that point and the noise will stop. Is this a common noise in the RX 350s? If not, what can I do to lesson or remove the noise entirely?

Thank you in advance

I've never noticed anything like that on my 2018. Could it be the rubber grommets where the air ducts connect? Is it driver side only, or both front doors?

Maybe you could try putting some dry silicone on a paper towel and rub it on whatever spots you think are causing the noise.

It sounds like it is on both front doors.

Has anyone tried that before? How would it affect the color of the upholstery?

Shouldn't stain upholstery, just try to keep the silicone inside the doorjambs, if that makes sense......

Its still under warranty let the dealer have a look at it. They may have had to fix one that had the same problem.

I second @ravenuer 's suggestion to try dry silicone first. The door doesn't touch the dash, or it shouldn't. The door only touches the rubber seal around the perimeter of the door, and the rubber-sealed port you will see on the door at dash level when the door is open. Rub dry silicone on the rubber seal boot and on the door perimeter seals (both the door and vehicle seals). Doing this fixed a very irritating noise my vehicle made for months that the dealer couldn't fix. $5 and five minutes was all it took.

Appreciate the advice. I tried the dry Lube on those points and it appears to have lessened the creaking noise. Hopefully this is a permanent fix and I won't have to continually re-apply it.

Thank you everyone!

Well the creaks came back so I'm taking it to the dealership in the morning. I hope this doesn't continue to be an ongoing issue. That's why I didn't purchase a Chevy or Ford, I didn't want these kinds of issues...

Thumbs up

I had a similar problem with my rear hatch, tried a few tricks like you with no success. Ended up taking to dealer two times to finally fix. Your still under warranty, let them fix it.

I just bought a 2019 RX F Sport and on music, even low bass, the driver door vibrates....makes me nuts! I pushed the door padding and it stopped....
The dealer taking the door apart just irks me...
