Default 2022 RX 350 auto dimming headlights

I have a question on automatic dimming headlights on a 2022 RX350. Everything I can find on auto dimming headlights says turn auto mode on and push the stalk AWAY from you. When I do that they won’t auto dim. Now if I pull the stalk TOWARD me then auto dimming works fine. However if I need to dim manually I can’t because the stalk is already in the low beam position. Can anyone set me straight? Am I doing something wrong? Still learning how everything works.

To use the Automatic High Beam function you need to press the button located in the cluster to the left, and below, the steering wheel.

When the auto function is on you don't have to do anything with the stalk.Just leave it be.

For the auto headlights, the rotary switch on the stalk needs to be in the auto position. For auto high beams, the stalk needs to be in the hig beam position, pushed forward. And the dash switch for auto high beams needs to be in the on position as well. This assumes your car is equipped with the auto headlights and auto high beams options.
