I liked the dark wood in my previous RX F Sport. I would prefer to see a similar or darker wood in the 4RX with black or light gray laser etching for instance.
Is the gray lined console trim on the F Sport plastic or aluminum? F Sport trim in the IS, RC, NX, is plastic

I personally can't stand how the aluminum looks. Just doesn't look like a Lexus should. I would be the first in line for a fully loaded RX 450h F-Sport if only they offered the Luxury interior.

I'm sure you could always swap it out later for wood.
I prefer the black wood in my current F-Sport, however I don't think the aluminum would be a deal breaker for me if I otherwise liked the RX. Something else I'll have to see in person before giving my final opinion.
I do agree with another poster would said it would be nice to have both choices.
I think by far the aluminum looks better than the black look. Also, you can see that the aluminum actually has a linear design too it as well when you zoom in..

Me too, Bearcat. For my taste, the aluminum is a perfect fit for the F-. I'm able to tolerate the bamboo in my current car, but any darker wood reminds me of coffins, not luxury.
But that's just my own opinion. I don't know "how a Lexus should look"; I've only owned eight of them so far.

I prefer the black as well. I was attracted to the red initially. But after seeing them in photos and videos many times, I found the color is not neutral enough for me to keep liking it long term. Here is the look I like.
