As an alternative you can use the customize function instead to dial into the same as sport mode. Then all you have to do is push down on the **** instead of turning it to the right. I find it easier to turn on and off that way.

cool - how do you do that and then how would you put it back to normal in that case?

I only found 1 thread about it here

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/rx-...rive-mode.html

but basically it's in your manual. You just press down to change it to the custom mode and press it again to go back to normal.

I don't think this can be customized.

Did you look at that thread? Which part of customize mode can't be customized that you want?

I did but I think they are either talking about the LX or the FSport model which I don't have. I'll play with it next time I'm in the car. Thanks for the input.

Ok I see. Sorry yes I have the F-Sport so I'm not sure if the standard model has this.

Default RX350L Econ Mode

Have the RX350L 2019 a little over a month and didn't take me long to really dislike the econ mode. The steering is unresponsive with too much over correction and starting out in 2nd gear feels extremely sluggish. I now only drive in the Sport mode. It would be nice if that could be set as the default. Am I the only one noticing this?

If you leave it in "Normal" when you shut it off, It'll stay there when you start it. You must turn it to "Sport" each time you start, if that's what you want. That's what I'm used to doing.

I wish there was a way to make sport the default, but there isn't.

There may be a gadget that attaches to the OBDII and makes the computer remember the last setting and keep it, a friend of mine just got one from Russia for his MB to stop the engine stop & go and it works flawlessly.

There may be one for Lexus, perhaps a search will tell you.
