RX 350 head-liner workmanship
My 2017 350 FSport has what appears to be not Lexus-like workmanship as the head-liner got wrapped around the moon roof opening. I wonder if it is just my car, or is this the same with other cars. The moon roof has to be opened, and one needs to look down into the roof opening from above the roof to see this. It looks as if a piece of rubber/plastic is needed to cover this, and that was missing. The white stuffs in the pics are part of the head-liner material that was not cleanly cut.

I'm sure there would be an RX with a sunroof in your dealers showroom. If so, ask them to open it and take a look. You'll know right away.

I'll save you some time and tell you that all RX models look like that in the sunroof area. Unfortunately the Lexus craftsmanship has been declining in the last few years.. The only good thing is that most people won't notice it unless they are tall or sticking their head out the sunroof

Today could be a great day. My wife and I have suspected that the loose material from my car head liner has been causing the inconsistent ticking noise while driving that I dislike so much. We put a couple of painting tapes along the messy edge of the headliner to keep the loose stuffs from moving, and the noise has not returned. Crossing my fingers that is where the noise comes from. Assuming the dealer will agree to fix this obvious short fall in workmanship, that may fix my ticking noise issue also. Thanks to everyone for your input.
