I thought there was a v6 engine with 350. Do they even have that? If not I'll try to pick up a 2022.

We probably have bought our last RX350. Not interested in paying for a premium car with a four banger for an engine. Also not interested in a hand grenade turbo. A normally aspirated 6cyl is the main reason why I purchased our current car.

Turbo tends to require more maintenance that the V6 from past history.

Just left a deposit - hey, its refundable so anything I see during the preview events that I don't like, I can bail out. Trying to get away from the German brands where I have been for a while - my benz dealer gets $200/hr for labor now and parts/fluid prices are insane, etc. Audi's are very unreliable so forget those. What's the main competition to the RX in this segment? RDX too small, MDX too big - I don't need 7 seats. Don't want the Korean brands. Don't want Ford, but Buick or Cadillac would be OK. Volvo XC90 is nice but interior is dated. Range Rovers too expensive and have bad quality surveys. The concerns here about 4 cylinder turbo power - well the Germans have had that basic powerplant for years now and those engines are very good, Toyota should be able to make a comparative engine. My biggest concern with this car is what others have posted here - interior ergonomics and the touch screen. Hard to get a sense of that from the preview videos, and these days the only way to buy a car is to place a deposit in advance - the days of waiting for dealer inventory to fill up are over. So really, if you want to consider this car, you have no choice but to leave a refundable deposit and bail out if you see something you don't like.

They've been used for 20 years RELIABLY. A turbocharger do not die suddenly unless you forgot to change your oil for 40k miles.
Per the video:
Referring to V6 RX: "Do you want a smooth powerful V6? Then this is your car"
Referring to the 5th gen RX: "you don't really mind the kind of screaming engine a little bit when it's pushed, then the new four cylinder will not be an issue"
Since the RX is under powered to begin and will need to be pushed from every stop, 5th gen RX owners better get used to that screaming engine...lol

If there is one engine that need to scream to get the car moving, it's the V6. That's the reason why @asadani was saying the V6 feels weak : it got no torque.
Seems like you never drove a modern turbo engine, that's sad.

Is this 1996 again ? Turbo engines do not require more maintenance than NA engine.
They've been used for 20 years RELIABLY. A turbocharger do not die suddenly unless you forgot to change your oil for 40k miles.
Underpowered where ? The V6 has 267 lb-ft at 4700 rpm while the 2.4 has 317 lb-ft between 1700 & 3600 rpm.

Did they fix the problems on the newer models?

Most manufactures including Honda, Acura, Hyundai, VW, BMW doesn't appear to have good reliability with turbo.
Hopefully, Lexus/Toyota have better reliability. I sure like my vehicle to last over 100K miles with the same engine.

Other issues aside, I put 170K miles on a VW 1.8T with no engine issues. I'm not worried about turbo reliability, I am worried about smooth power delivery at the bottom end of the range - something the specs alone don't tell you, you have to drive it.

The torque and responsiveness of my 2.0 turbo 2018 GTI is fantastic, and I expect the same from any modern turbo engine. The 2023 RX has quite a bit more power than my GTI!
We're buying out the lease on our 2019 RX350 in Nov because the car is worth $10K more than the residual ($26K) and I don't want to deal with availability issues and the general car price BS that's going on now. We'll think about a 2023-2024-2025 later, if sanity ever returns to the world.

The euro makers have the 2.0T engine down to a science because regulations in the EU force that displacement on them along with turbocharging to meet emissions regulation and higher taxation from larger displacements. Toyota should be able to produce a similar performing turbo engine, with an extra half liter of displacement to play with.
